Revelations Which Began with The Revelation
5/13/2018 INTRODUCTION
My journey began at the end of the Books: The Revelation. Specifically Revelation 12:14 and 14:12 where, during repeated group and individual studies, I read that there are two requirements of God’s people. I couldn't get over these two witnesses, so I went in search of the Truth.
“So the dragon was furious with the woman and left to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and have the testimony about Jesus.” (Rev. 12:17)
“This demands the perseveranceof the saints, who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.”(Rev. 14:12)
I have spent a great deal of time researching and reviewing Biblical and human history concerning the Mysteries cult of Babel and its followers in our day. While the subject matter is riveting and brings understanding to today’s events and the actions of many political leaders, I am now going back to sharing my Biblical studies and revelations over the last few years in hopes you will be led to Truth as I have continually prayed for myself and you.
My walk began with a Bible study program in which I enrolled back in 2003 and remained with for seven years. But, I was voracious and studied at least 5 hours a day, 5 days a week until 2010 when my mother got very ill and the resulting surgeries and treatments lasted years. I lost my father in 2011 and my mother in 2017. From early in Bible study, a thought kept winding its way through my brain: We are supposed to walk as Jesus walked, but what does that look like?
In the summer of 2011, I was led to the New World Order and its origins. That took a year and a half of research and the realization that this was Biblical – meaning that Ashteroth, Ishtar, Diana, et al, were all the Queen of Heaven, goddess of Babel: Semiramis. Please see my articles on Mystery Babylon & the New World Order and corresponding articles on Nimrod and Semiramis. I took a novel of information and tried to hone it down to absolutely necessary information.
Then, understanding much about the Mysteries cult and recognizing its infiltration into the church through the observed holidays and doctrines, I wondered what happened to create a division from the time of the apostles to the beginnings of Catholicism actually named in ‘early church fathers’ writings by 106 C.E. The apostles should have earned the title ‘early church fathers’. But, they were called the Nazarenes by the Jewish religious leaders (Acts 24:5) and The Way (Acts 19:9, 23; 22:4). Catholicism proclaimed itself the ‘true Christianity’ causing one to wonder who were the other ‘Christians’ they claimed were false. But, this is for another time.
From 2012-2014, I also enrolled in theology courses. Upon almost completing my second year, I came to a realization that there was a huge divide between Scripture and many church doctrines. This would lead me away from organized religion into a faith walk that resulted in my being called apostate by former sisters and brothers who still followed the doctrines and traditions of Churchianity.
If you are desiring Truth, I welcome you to take a journey that will, hopefully, bring you to Truth you won't learn in the pew because it flies in the face of the doctrines and traditions learned in seminary by those we trust as shepherds – doctrines and traditions created by men centuries after the apostles. Sound familiar? Jesus called out the Pharisees, teachers, and scribes of his day about their own doctrines and traditions (takanot and ma’asim) which he proclaimed they used to override the commands of God. The Jewish religious leaders claimed to have the authority to make new rules which even God must abide by, because they sat in Moses’ seat. The Roman-Catholic Church would claim a similar authority centuries later concerning Sunday worship and a change to the Commandments. But, knowing this would happen, God commanded: “You must be careful to do everything I command you; do not add anything to it or take anything away from it.” (Deuteronomy 12:32)
After pondering the meaning of the two witnesses in The Revelation, I went back to the gospels to read what Jesus said; and, then the letters of Peter, John, James, Jude, et al, of which we rarely get but snippets in church and Bible studies. The words of Jesus, himself, were the lynchpin in understanding what was going on during second Temple times, after the Babylonian exile when the Oral Torah was created as a fence around God’s Torah and Rabbis became the peoples' teachers. And, it was like a lightening bolt!
What are the "commands" in Revelation 12:17 and 14:12? After years of research and a lot of help from a Hebrew-Biblical scholar who isn’t even a Believer in Jesus as Messiah, the “commands”, translated in English as “the Law”, are the Commandments shouted down from Mt. Sinai AND the Torah given to Moses to write down in the tent of meeting over the next 40 years.
So, if the commands are still relevant in The Revelation then Torah was not nailed to the cross as we were taught?!? The commands are not only upheld by Jesus (Matthew 5:17, “fulfill”, meaning in Greek 'to do'), but also by Paul (Romans 3:31), John (1 John 3:4), and James (2:18, 20, 26). What have we missed?!? Have we been lied to? Maybe this is why we are told:
“The one who reads this is blessed, and those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep [follow/obey] what is written in it are blessed, because the time is near!” (Rev. 1:3)
Notes:
Please read Sin, the Law and the Believer (4 parts) before proceeding further to learn about the Law and its place in our lives as Believers in Jesus. I will now call him by his Hebrew name, Yeshua, because of its meaning. Yeshua is short for Yehoshua (English translation, Joshua) which means Yehovah Yoshia (our God really does have a name and He Saves).
We are learning more about the Bible in the last 20 years than previous generations combined! According to some of the 'early church fathers' the Gospel of Matthew was first written in Hebrew. And, later transcripts in Hebrew have been discovered in Russia (formerly the USSR), Great Britain, and elsewhere. Pages from Hebrew Mark, Luke and John have also been discovered in the Vatican 'junk box'. It makes sense since the first followers of Yeshua were all Hebrews, most of whom probably did not know Greek (see Josephus).
Jerome, Lives of Illustrious Men, Ch.3:
“Matthew also called Levi, apostle and aforetimes publican, composed a gospel of Christ at first published in Judea in Hebrew for the sake of those of the circumcision who believed, but this was afterwards translated into Greek though by what author is uncertain. The Hebrew itself has been preserved until the present day in the library at Caesarea which Pamphilus so diligently gathered. I have also had the opportunity of having the volume described to me by the Nazarenes of Beroea, a city of Syria, who use it. In this it is to be noted that wherever the Evangelist, whether on his own account or in the person of our Lord the Savior quotes the testimony of the Old Testament he does not follow the authority of the translators of the Septuagint but the Hebrew. Wherefore these two forms exist “Out of Egypt have I called my son,” and “for he shall be called a Nazarene.”
The Later Statements of Jerome in his Commentaries:
In his later commentaries Jerome connects the original Hebrew Gospel of Matthew with the Gospel of the Hebrews which he says was used by the Nazarenes and Ebionites. He makes the following statements:
1) The Nazarenes use the Gospel of the Hebrews.
2) The Gospel which the Nazarenes and Ebionites use which he had translated into Greek is called by many the original Gospel of Matthew.
3) The Gospel used by the Nazarenes is called the “Gospel according to the Hebrews” or the “Gospel of the Apostles” or as most term it, the “Gospel According to Matthew.” It is in the library of Caesarea (which Jerome mentioned in Illustrious Men).
