But as for me and my house ...
Arutz Sheva reports an undisclosed number of Jewish girls from Judea and Samaria reported to local security forces that Palestinian Authority Arabs attempted to lure them into a vehicle Sunday evening.
Recently, there have been thefts from local farmers. In July, Arabs stole about 400 goats from Avraham Herzlich's herd. Only four goats were left, obliterating his business. Shmuel Hertzlich, Avraham’s son, told Arutz Sheva, “There were threats, both threats at attempted theft and at harm to the shepherd.” Israel’s Shin Bet security service would issue periodic warnings to Avraham. In July, two young Israeli men were robbed near Shilo by an Arab carjacking gang. The Israelis' crashed vehicle was found a short time later in the nearby Arab town of Kfar Duma. In May, security agents revealed a terrorist cell in Judea and Samaria that failed several times to kidnap residents, especially women. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) cell planned to use a kidnapping to negotiate the release of jailed terrorists. Shmuel expressed frustration with the sense of lawlessness in the region, quoting the Biblical phrase, “In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Itzik Shadmi, chairman of the Binyamin Residents' Council, reported they had been warned that the successful thefts would encourage Arabs to harm the residents, as well. At least Israel understands how Arabs are emboldened - the U.S. still has not learned this lesson although it has had 33 years to do so.
